Turn on the map to see your approximate location and nearby nodes (opt-in, off by default -- your exact position is never shared with other users). The map is also split into a grid of small territory cells: the first node to check in from a new cell claims it and earns a bonus, rewarding real geographic spread of the network rather than everyone clustering in one place.

Collect cards that spawn near your shared location (up to 3 fresh pickups a day) and mint them: combine 2 cards of the same category and the survivor levels up, with stats and mint cost both growing per level.
